A really marvelous piece. It really drags the viewer into a story, or should I say, an emotion. It exerts more feeling than story, and that is something an artist can consciously choose to do. I love the contrast between the cold and deep blues of the clouds and the lighting with the flaming red smoke coming from the bend sword.

If I would have any criticism at all, it would be that the lens flares are a bit overdone. Also, I would have loved seeing some kind of recognizable object or creature in front of the statue. Like a flock of birds, perhaps? This really brings out the massive scale of the artwork by anchoring the viewer's sense of scale to something they know, only to be hit by the realization of just how massive the statue is.
