Someone dear to me asked me to do a new emotional work, so here it is. Hope you like it.
I love this. It is a poignant creation that has clear themes of emotional connection, childhood and mortality. As always, your technique is so well implemented that I sometimes forget the images have been manipulated. I took a half a star only because the outline around the child is a little hard, in my opinion, and I think if it was softened just a bit it might blend with the background even better. I would not change anything about the piece, however, because it is a powerful image that stays and inspires the viewer. The use of the barren land with an hourglass is something that has appeared before, visual cliches as it were, but these cliches exist for a reason. Even though I took a star for the originality I couldn't possibly suggest any images that communicate better than the one you've made. Sometimes, artists get too caught up in making something "no one has ever seen before!" that they forget the point they're trying communicate. As far as I have seen you've not had this problem, please keep up the good work.
