Ah yes, an example of how minimizing the image will take away from the overall detailing. This is an image that need to be felt up close and personal, that's where the true beauty lies. This, my friend, is what I have been waiting for the passed couple of critiques . Full marks and I am more than happy to explain why. Your technique of layering and manipulating samples until they barely resemble their original state (instead forming a coherent masterwork) shines unequivocally here. There is more than enough detail to the image to give us a sense of a story but still some left to the imagination. That, in it of itself, is a very difficult balance to achieve. I know, I've tried as a writer.
This woman, who seems to have been holed up in a wall as a sort of prison, tells us volumes of mistreatment or battle. Clearly, we should be wondering what happened to her opponent and what kind of badassery is going to commence now that she is free of her obstacle. The originality and intrigue make me want to come back to this piece again and again. Unabashedly I also hope for a sequel piece Bravo, my artistically gifted friend. This is a great piece to look back to if you ever need to be reminded at how epic your imagination can become.
