Facing Death part 1

I like the shades you used with the light and dark. The textures make it feel as though by looking at it, I'm there observing the pair, unseen and almost intrusive. I use the words almost intrusive because what you are conveying in the picture is almost an intimacy between them.

I don't think she looks afraid at all, more like she's been waiting for him and is unconditionally accepting of his presence. It's like she's holding up the light, showing him the way or lighting the way for him.

It's a stellar piece and the composition is stunning.
